Hand tattoos don’t necessarily fade faster. The main difference is that they can be harder to heal because the skin is thinner and the area is constantly moving and being used.

Small areas of ink can sometimes be lost during healing, but if the tattoo heals properly, there shouldn’t be a problem. Long-term, just like any other tattoo, protecting it from the sun is the most important factor. Once properly healed, hand tattoos generally fade at a similar rate to tattoos on other areas of the body.
