When Can I Take a Bath After My Tattoo?

You can shower during the healing process, but you need to be especially careful during the first 5 days.

If we applied second skin, which I usually use for smaller tattoos, showering is generally easier as long as the bandage remains completely sealed.

For larger tattoos that cannot be covered with second skin, you can temporarily protect the area from direct shower water with clean waterproof plastic wrap, then remove it immediately after the shower. Keep showers quick and lukewarm, avoid direct water pressure, and keep shampoo, shower gel, and similar products away from the tattoo.

Do not scrub or exfoliate the area until it is fully healed.
