Being nervous does not mean you are not ready. No matter how many tattoos you have, feeling tense before sitting in the tattoo chair is completely normal, especially until the tattooing actually starts.

What matters is whether your overall style and direction are clear. If one day you want hyper-realism and the next day you want a very minimal tattoo, I would recommend waiting.
