How Much Should I Eat Before a Tattoo Appointment?
You should eat a proper meal before your tattoo appointment, and taking a food break during a long session is completely normal. A lot of clients hesitate to say they are hungry because they do not want to interrupt the artist, but staying hungry can make your energy and tolerance drop much earlier.
When your body is exhausted, your skin can also become more reactive, which may make the tattooing process harder. So there is no reason to avoid eating just to keep the session moving.
For long sessions, studios usually have snacks available, so do not hesitate to grab something. And if you need an actual meal, order food and take a proper break. Eating during a long tattoo session is part of the process, not an interruption.
