How Much Does a Full-Day Tattoo Session Cost in Los Angeles?
A full-day tattoo session in Los Angeles can vary widely depending on the artist’s experience, style, and demand. Many established artists price large projects by the day instead of by the hour because it makes planning long, detailed sessions much easier.
For my work in Los Angeles, a standard full-day session from 12 PM to 6 PM is $1,800. For projects that need more time, an extended session from 12 PM to approximately 9 PM is $2,200.
Full-day sessions are usually best for larger or more detailed tattoos such as realism pieces, forearm projects, larger cover-ups, or sections of a sleeve.
Not every tattoo needs a full day. If the project is smaller, hourly pricing may make more sense. The best way to know is to send the body area, approximate size, design idea, and reference images so the expected session length can be estimated before booking.
