How Do You Heal a Tattoo in an Area That Moves Constantly?

Answered by Sude ErdemTattoo artist in Los Angeles

Areas that move constantly, such as elbows, knees, and joints, can be harder to heal because the skin keeps stretching and bending. Keep the area clean, lightly moisturized, and avoid unnecessary friction or over-bending when possible.

If a small area loses ink during healing, I usually check it after about one month and touch it up free of charge if needed.
