Yes. Repositioning the stencil is a completely normal part of the process. I will usually recommend the placement that works best anatomically, because the tattoo needs to follow the shape, movement, and proportions of the body.

There are also many times when I remove and reapply the stencil myself because I am not fully satisfied with the placement yet.

Of course, if something still feels wrong to you, you should absolutely say so. The goal is to find the most anatomically suitable placement that we are both completely happy with before tattooing starts.
