Usually yes. If your job causes clothing, equipment, or surfaces to rub against the tattooed area, just be more careful with hygiene and clean the area more frequently when needed.

If anything heals lighter because of friction or normal healing, I check the tattoo after it has healed and any necessary touch-up is free.
