A normal tan usually does not prevent us from tattooing, but recently sun-exposed skin can be a problem if it is still irritated or sensitive.

If the area is red, peeling, tender, or noticeably sunburned, I will not tattoo it until the skin has fully recovered. If you have a tattoo appointment coming up, protect the area from strong sun exposure beforehand.
