I would usually avoid tattooing directly over a fresh or painful bruise. If the area is still tender, swollen, or visibly damaged, it is better to let it recover first.

If the bruise is minor and already fading, send me a clear photo before the appointment and I can tell you whether the area is suitable to work on.
