Tattoo needles do not really look or feel like injection needles. Visually, the tattoo machine looks much more like a pen, so it usually does not trigger the same fear response for people who are afraid of medical needles.

The sensation is also completely different. Especially at the beginning, it can even feel more like being scratched with the tip of a pen.

Some of my clients say they deal with more painful things in everyday life than the first hours of a tattoo session. The beginning is usually much easier than people expect.

Long sessions can become more challenging depending on the placement, but so far I have never had a full-day session that had to be stopped halfway.
